I have installed visual studio code on a machine that is not, and cannot be, connected to the internet. Is there a way that i can do it manually by downloading and placing the downloaded files at. I need to download.vsix versions of extensions for my coding environment (python and pylance) on an offline machine, but there does not appear to be a way to do so.

Does anyone know if there is a place to download older versions of visual studio code, specifically the version that still worked on mac os x 10.9.x?

One of my dev machines is still running. Even after download is completed, when i open vscode and remote wsl again, it starts downloading again. I updated to the version here where it installs it per user instead of all. How to solve this so that it doesn't download server every time?

I was having the same issue, not when installing an extension, but when a certain extension was trying to download data. How do i install for all users instead? I'm trying to stop a download from a remote server connected with remote ssh. Can't find any button to stop, just closing the vscode.
